Meet Kirk Walper

Looking back, it is hard to imagine that he would be where he is today, doing what he loves, surrounded by incredible family and friends. It feels like yesterday that this small town, Hanna, Alberta, farm boy was out working the fields with his Dad. Growing up it was always “family-first” in the Walper household. Kirk, the proud middle child, brother of two fun-loving sisters Melanie and Leanne, attributes so much of what he’s accomplished to the strong roots planted by his parents, Eric and Fay. Now, a second-generation realtor since 2001, Kirk continues to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

Doing The Right Things

It is easy to recognize this family bond and you quickly get a sense of the strong upbringing and work ethic that has been instilled in him. You can feel his appreciation for honesty and truth through his words. His even-keeled personality and down-to-earth attitude makes it easier to have those, sometimes-difficult, conversations when they are required. For him, success is about helping and understanding people, solving problems, and delivering results. His motto for “doing what feels right” and having faith that “it will all work out in the end” has served him and his clients well.

Today, Parksville is home to the Walper family.

Married since 2003, Kirk and Jaclyn have raised two adventurous kids, Austin and Lexi. This close-knit family loves their sports and family vacations. Kirk is honoured to have coached minor baseball, hockey, and softball, striving to pass on those same values that were passed down to him. He is smart, kind-hearted, determined, and humble.

"Impressed with how prepared Kirk was for each property we visited"

Kirk is a real pro. He takes your business seriously, and is so sincere and keen to help. He sold my 3⁄4 of an acre property and then helped with the purchase of a farm acreage so I could have pastures and room for my horses. I was so impressed with how prepared he was for each property we visited. He did the research and knew the number of acres, property line, horse capacity, where the well was, gallons per minute, everything. Kirk also provided honest, straight forward advice as to whether this was a good investment. I love my 1919 homestead property, and thank Kirk and his whole team for helping and really looking out for me.
